How it works for you

Calm Cream is a multi-purpose, 3-in-1 moisturiser: 

  1. Daily use moisturiser for sensitive skin, eg prone to eczema and rosacea 
  2. Repair cream for skin whose barrier is compromised by aesthetic treatments or environmental stress 
  3. Buffer cream to enhance tolerance of active skincare products such as retinoids 

It harnesses the following key ingredients to soothe sensitive and sensitised skin.

  • Zinc Oxide soothes inflammation and redness, and supports skin repair and regeneration thanks to its wound healing and antimicrobial action 
  • Oat Prebiotic Aurafirm P TM encourages a diverse microbiome and a healthy skin barrier, for greater resilience and resistance to environmental stress 
  • Ceramides NP, AP and EOP help the skin retain moisture and prevent water loss, improving elasticity and radiance 
  • Shea Butter and Grapeseed Oil supply a surge of restorative antioxidants and fatty acids, and deeply nourish and soften the skin 
How to apply

Use daily morning and evening to soothe and restore sensitised skin. Apply a pea-sized amount to cleansed, damp skin and massage gently until silky smooth.  

Suitable for sensitive skin.  Before first use, test on an inconspicuous area such as inside of wrist and wait 24 hours. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Key Ingredients

Zinc Oxide

Zinc Oxide promotes wound healing and tissue regeneration by encouraging epithelial growth, boosting collagen and protein synthesis, and increasing growth factor expression. Plus, ithas a UV-protective effect and inhibits bacterial growth. Used topically on the skin, it soothes inflammation, redness, and irritation, and helps improve skin elasticity and suppleness. Additionally, it regulates oil production, reducing shine on oily skin.

Oat Prebiotic

A fermented prebiotic active made from oats (Avena Sativa) and Lactobacillus Ferment that protects and maintains a healthy microbiome. It increases the biodiversity of skin microbiota, enhances resistance to oxidative stress and DNA damage, locks in moisture, helps stimulate cell regeneration and improves skin texture by maintaining the integrity of the extracellular matrix.

Ceramides

Ceramides are essential lipids in skin cells, comprising 30-40% of the epidermis. They retain moisture and support the skin's barrier function. Decreased ceramide levels lead to dryness and irritation. Applying Ceramides topically improves skin hydration, protect against environmental damage, and guard against aging, eczema, and other skin conditions by restoring and maintaining skin health. We use Ceramides 3, 6 and 9.

Shea Butter

Derived from African Shea Tree kernels, Butyrosperumum Parkii has a history of anti-inflammatory and analgesic uses, supported by modern research. Rich in triterpenes, it enhances tissue repair and wound healing. Shea Butter also improves atopic dermatitis and minimizes keloid scar growth. Its buttery texture, high in stearic and oleic acids, makes it ideal for rich creams.
