Our makeup lessons at Cosmetics à la Carte are entirely bespoke, tailored around your level of experience and your goals. They are taught on a 1-1 basis with your dedicated makeup artist. All our Senior Makeup artists are experienced educators with advanced professional qualifications, extensive experience and a gift for the natural, less-is-more makeup approach.
You don’t need to bring any existing products with you as we will use our own award-winning, British-made products - available in shades for every skin tone and personal taste - as well as our hand-made luxury makeup brushes.
Whichever lesson you choose, we build a look from the ground up with you, going step-by-step through each technique. We advise how to best enhance your natural beauty, tailoring everything to your unique facial structure. We will show you which shades will make your complexion light up, so you’ll never need to guess which colours to buy again.
At each stage we illustrate the technique on one side of the face, and encourage you to practise on the other side of the face, using the correct brushes. There is plenty of time for you to make mistakes and let us show you how to correct them - it’s all part of the process!
The result - at the end of the lesson you’ll be wearing a beautiful, radiant look that you can recreate again at home. We’ll write up each step you have followed in a personalised makeup summary to help you remember what you have learned. You’ll also have the option to purchase any of our products with an exclusive 15% lesson discount on the day.
Our makeup lessons take place at our Chelsea beauty boutique at 192 Pavilion Road SW3. Calm and relaxed, it's a world away from a bustling beauty counter, but with all the professional products and tools you won't have at home. You can sit back, relax and enjoy complimentary refreshments. We are wheelchair, buggy and child friendly. You are also welcome to bring a friend with you to give you support and encouragement!
The Bespoke Beauty Lesson teaches one makeup look, including complexion cleanse, prep and prime, and a foundation match. You can choose from the Bespoke Day Look option to transform the makeup you wear every day, or the Bespoke Evening Look to master a full makeup look for special occasions.
The Head Start is our tailored teen makeup lesson for under 18s. The Absolute Beginner option is offered for younger girls who are just starting out in makeup and want to get it right from the start, while The Budding Expert is offered for teens who already have a lot of confidence in makeup but want an opportunity to hone their skills with an expert.
The Bridal Beauty Lesson is designed for brides wanting to create their own makeup look, offering a chance to develop and learn a complete wedding day look with artist guidance and support.
