How it works for you

On the crossover point between a tinted moisturiser and a foundation, Sheer Balancing is our most popular foundation for every day.

Creamy, with a fresh, luminous finish, and hard-working, oil-free humectants to keep skin moisturised.

Sheer Balancing delivers light to medium coverage that creates an even tone and makes everything look brighter and healthier.

Like all our bases, this doesn’t look, feel or smell like conventional makeup.

For all skin types. Paraben-free. Never tested on animals.

What people say

Gold Winner, 2022 Beauty Bible Awards

Some of the reviewers commented:

"Light and dewy – a great coverage foundation that smells delightful, offers smooth coverage and lasts well on the skin"

"I have had several compliments on my skin and people have asked what I have been using, so I am absolutely delighted to have found this foundation"

"I love this foundation! It helped me to realise that a lighter coverage actually suits me better; heavier foundation tend to exaggerate my wrinkles and open pores"

"A hybrid between a BB cream and a foundation that’s sheer, but offering buildable coverage that doesn’t mask your skin; it just gives a beautiful luminescence. I've had a few comments from friends that my skin is glowing!"

"I have not worn foundation in years because I don’t like the heaviness on my face, but this felt wonderfully light."

Shari Rendle, professional makeup artist on ITV's This Morning

"For base I absolutely love Sheer Balancing Foundation. It’s light like a tinted moisturiser but oil-free, so it’s the perfect balance between achieving a sheer tint but without looking too shiny"

Key Ingredients

Glycerin

Glycerol, or glycerin, is a colorless, odourless liquid used in pharmaceuticals and food. It reduces wound inflammation and is approved for wound care and skin grafts. In skincare, its humectant properties draw moisture to the skin, mimicking the natural moisturizing factor, enhancing hydration, resiliency, and youthfulness without triggering allergies.

Triglycerides

A triglyceride is an ester derived from glycerol and three fatty acids. It is one of the main constituents of body fat in humans. In our cosmetics we use vegetable Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, derived from coconut oil. It is a skin-compatible emollient and humectant that attracts and holds moisture with good lubricating and spreading properties.

Iron Oxides

Derived from natural minerals found in the earth, these are used to create skin colour in cosmetics, providing the even flawless coverage desired from foundations and concealers. Red, Yellow and Black Oxides are mixed in exact quantities to reflect the full spectrum of natural skin tones. They also offer a slight UV-protective effect.

Silica

Silica, a key component of collagen, supports skin elasticity and youthfulness. Essential for immune function, it's commonly used in cosmetic face powders for a smooth texture and even application. Silica gel's high specific surface area adsorbs water and toxins, mattifying oily skin, reducing blemishes, and providing a cooling, anti-inflammatory effect.
